" The Diet "
The rule of three: first time, an accident; second time, a coincidence; third time, a theme. Assess for 3 days (using diet charts) note which 3 behaviors are repeated the most. Note the behaviors that occurs the most; this is the first symptom to start working on.

Refer to behaviors section to; identify the behavior, find out why it is happening.

Next you can go to the tools section to find various tools to alleviate symptom behavior. The tools section will also explain when, why, and how to use each tool.

Note the time/times of day the three main symptom behaviors occur. These are the times when you will want to utilize the tools you have found and add them to your daily routine as part of your child's sensory diet.

It is best to use these tools before the behavior occurs. It may be wise to implement these tools 30 minutes before problem behavior occurs. This way the child does not enter a stressed sensory state, additionally it will help maintain their mood/sensory state.

Once the behaviors have been outlined and processed a diet will naturally develop. If a tool isn't working explore the tools list and try something else. Involve your child and ask if any tool sounds enjoyable to them.

If this seems like a lot try the sensory quiz. The quiz will give you a place to start.
