: If we give the body and/or mind a schedule of activities(a sensory diet) a person can avoid having meltdowns. Especially those of a social-emotional nature (freaking out on your friends or co-workers). Let's be real ruining relationships and a good work/classroom dynamic is a starter pack for hard times. So, you know, yay sensory diet! For those who are not yet adults all the better to learn these tools now. Learning when and how to use sensory tools, a person can create adaptive strategies as they go along their life. In turn avoiding the hardships brought on by having sensory processing disorder or the like.

This site is a resource for all things sensory from definitions to quiz's to trouble shooting what type of sensory input you or your child might need. By learning the bodies sensory needs a person can begin to regulate their emotional state by not taxing their physical state(the body, that mass of meat!). This is key in helping individuals with sensory processing disorder regulate their emotional states and as a result their everyday lives.
